CLASS & EVENT INFORMATION

YOGA:
Yoga is a practice that helps build strength and flexibility of your body and mind. We offer a variety of yoga practices so check out the descriptions below to see what might suit you. And don’t worry – you don’t have to be flexible! For group classes, you do need to be able to get up and down from your mat (sitting to standing) but if this isn’t an option for you, that doesn’t mean you can’t practice yoga. Book a private yoga appointment to go over any alternatives/modifications that you can use in a group class. If you do have an injury or limitation, please make sure you let your teacher know before class.

Yoga classes incorporates pranayama {breathwork}, asana {poses}, and savasana {the best bit at the end of each class where you lie down for mediation / relaxation!}. It doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you can move easily and bring any extra layers/props that you need to be comfortable {eg, socks, clothing, blanket, cushion, eye pillow}. Also, avoid heavy meals for 1-2 hours prior to your practice.  The last thing you want is an uneasy feeling in your belly during your practice!

SLOW FLOW YOGA:
Slow Vinyasa Yoga  ▸ All levels / Beginner friendly
Slow Flow is a slower paced practice focusing on breath, technique and alignment while still keeping the gentle rhythm of a slow vinyasa yoga class {flowing from one pose to the next with our breath}. This class typically includes pranayama {breathwork}, seated, standing & laying poses. We practice foundational Sun Salutes and flows, standing strength, balance and core work. We finish with juicy, longer held floor poses and then best pose of them all … savasana, where we lay down and rest. During savasana, I may offer a body scan, meditation, breath practice or silence to allow all the benefits of your practice to sink in.

FLOW YOGA:
Vinyasa Yoga  ▸ Intermediate
This is a dynamic, vinyasa class that has an emphasis on flowing from one pose to another, matched with your breath, while working towards a peak pose or flow. This class usually runs in a progressive series* and is best suited for yogis who are familiar with Sun Salutes and yoga in general as less instruction is given for foundational poses and flows. We explore intermediate flows and poses and we have lots of fun along the way! It’s a great class to advance your yoga practice, get your blood pumping and will leave you feeling invigorated.
*We usually practice the same class for approximately 3 weeks while giving more options and variations as the weeks progress. This helps you become familiar with the class plan so you can really get into the flow of the practice {where the magic is!} but you can join a class anytime!

RESTORE YOGA:
Restorative & Yin Yoga ▸ All levels / Beginner friendly
*BYO Yoga Bolster if you have one
This class is super slow and super delicious! All floor based with no standing poses, this practice helps calm your nervous system and relieve tension held in your body.  We’ll often use yoga props in this class in longer held poses so please bring a yoga bolster if you have one plus any extras to help make your practice as comfortable as possible {ie, blanket, cushion, eye pillow}. This class is deeply restorative for your mind, body and soul.

SLOW FLOW RESTORE:
Slow Vinyasa Yoga + Restorative/Yin Yoga  ▸ All levels / Beginner friendly
*BYO Yoga Bolster if you have one
This practice is the perfect mix of slow, flowy yoga finishing with long holds – a beautiful blend of my Slow Flow and Restore classes. We start with pranayama/breathwork and warming our joints, before moving into the Slow Flow portion of the practice. The second half of the practice is dedicated to Restorative/Yin – long held, mostly floor poses. Finishing with savasana – this practice is the perfect mix of breath, movement and stillness. Expect to feel spacious, calm and replenished.

RENEW:
Breathwork, Meditation & Sound Healing ▸ All levels / Beginner friendly
Renew yourself with this very special offering.  All floor based {seated and laying}, this practice starts with pranayama/breathwork to help calm your nervous system.  This is followed with a Yoga Nidra/meditation designed to help give your busy mind a break from every day life and we finish with a sound healing where all you have to do is lay down, relax and let the sounds wash over you.  The sound healing can include crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, wind chimes, Tibetan tingsha bells and drums.  Absolutely no yoga, meditation or sound experience is necessary.  Bring any props you need to be super comfortable seated and laying {eg, bolster, blanket, eye pillow etc}. Expect to feel deeply, deeply relaxed ~ pure nourishment for your mind, body and soul.
